Workhorse Boats
Workhorse Boats builds custom aluminum boats for work, sport and pleasure. Like many entrepreneurs, Darcy created his own website for Workhorse Boats using wordpress.org. With lots of great features right “out of the box”, it’s a simple and economical way to establish your company on the internet. But sometimes the templates can be harder than expected to manipulate and achieving a custom or even consistent look becomes really time consuming. Darcy first approached us to help add a video to his home page.
After meeting Darcy and hearing about his business, we encouraged him to expand his brand and create a custom look on his site. We updated his logo to include alternate logos which are helpful in establishing site identity and brand recognition. We incorporated a more flexible colour scheme and used his images to create a brand board. A visual editor was added to make the content easier to manage and we constructed a simple but professional layout that will grow with his business. Darcy’s video does a great job promoting his product so it is the focus of attention. We adjusted the layout for mobile and tablet views to make sure the visual appeal was consistent across devices.
We continue to provide Workhorse Boats with ongoing assistance for site maintenance, site updates, and website analytics.
