About North Simcoe Excavation & Septic
North Simcoe Excavation and Septic provides excavation and grading, land and lot clearing and demolition services across Simcoe County. They also provide comprehensive septic installation and maintenance services for both residential and commercial businesses. Walker, the owner, is a busy man. Like many entrepreneurs, Walker built his original site himself using Squarespace. He came to us at the urging of one of our clients to update and expand his site so it better reflected the scope and consistent high quality of his work for prospective clients. We were happy to help.
North Simcoe Excavation - Branding Board
ELM Avenue’s Role
Our objectives on this project were to increase the appeal of the site to new customers, instil confidence in the company’s consistent high quality of work and improve the site’s performance on internet searches.
Walker came to us with a fabulous logo which became the starting point for our branding board. Once Walker approved the colour scheme and fonts, we got to work updating the site.
Increasing the Appeal
We updated the site layout, adding a distinct header to highlight the logo and repeating it with a professional footer on each page. We made it easier for clients to get in touch with Walker connect with him on Instagram. Walker does a GREAT job of keeping Instagram up-to-date, so we integrated the feed into the home page. That gives Walker a broader audience for his posts as they now reach website visitors who might not see North Simcoe Excavation and Septic on social media.
Demonstrating the Quality of Work
With the site’s structure set, we turned our attention to promoting North Simcoe Excavation & Septic’s abilities. We reduced the text on the homepage to make the services more visually appealing and self-explanatory. We created a full page for each service that included a more robust description of the services and, wherever possible, added a brief summary of completed projects and/or customer testimonials.
Search Engine Optimization
Finally, we completed the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) functions throughout the site and indexed the site with Google. Both tasks help improve the performance of the site on search engines.
We continue to support Walker with periodic updates as necessary and we look forward to working with him as his business expands.
